The two of us had a great stay in March,2025 at The Sycamore. The unit had everything we needed, and the bed and sofa were comfortable. The kitchen was well-equipped, had adequate storage, and everything worked. The in-unit washer and dryer were an added benefit. The neighborhood is quite nice, and we enjoyed walking it. It was convenient to have the Baja Ranch grocery around the corner. Ralph’s is a short drive, as are the shops and restaurants on South Lake. We had a great pastrami on rye sandwich at The Hat, also on Lake Ave. As whenever we have stayed with Vacation Living, Kathleen was a great host and quickly responsive to any needs we had, and we look forward to staying with them again.
I stayed for two months. This cozy 1 bedroom apartment was near Garfield Heights, which is known for its charming bungalows. And close to shopping/dining districts as well as the center of town and Colorado Boulevard. The unit was cozy — living room and table for two dining area all combined. But it was immaculate and a nice basket of goodies was there on my arrival. The kitchen was also immaculate and well appointed with a coffee maker and toaster, and also had a good assortment of pots and pans, cutlery, glasses and plates, utensils. But there were no placemats or dish towels or scissors, so I bought my own. My only real quibble was with the heating system. During my two-month stay, the temperatures were in the high 30s and low 40s at night. There was only one HVAC unit in the apartment and it was in the bedroom. So the kitchen and living room/dining room and bathroom would get quite cold. The ceiling fan in the bedroom helped push some heat into the other rooms.
Wonderful little bungalow in Pasadena with everything I needed for my stay. Full size stove for cooking, all the pots, pans and cooking utensils I needed to cook my meals at home. The bungalow is very close to Old Town and I found a great little bakery called Euro Pane I loved to go for a morning coffee. If you want a convenient, comfortable place to stay, this bungalow is a great choice. I highly recommend and hope to be back soon!
